Hey there! This week we’re making great progress on both the Richter project and the Grimes project. We’ve also got a new Design Spotlight at the end of the newsletter to check out. Stay tuned as we wrap these projects up and move onto some interior bathroom renovations very soon!

Richter Project:

At the Richter project this week, we wrapped up the gutter installation for the shop and completed essential siding repairs on the main house. With the siding complete, we moved on to applying a fresh coat of paint to the house, giving the exterior a polished, cohesive look—just in time before the rain returned! Next, we’ll be putting the final touches on a few interior shop details to finish the last few scopes. This project is on track for completion just in time for the cold weather, and we’re thrilled with how everything is coming together!

Grimes Project:

Over at the Grimes Project, the gazebo is starting to taking shape! This week, we set up the structural posts and beams, establishing a solid framework for this outdoor feature. With the core structure in place, we’re moving on to the next steps: adding cross bracing, planning for electrical, and preparing for roofing installation, which will bring this gazebo one step closer to its final form. We’re thrilled to watch this space transform and can’t wait to reveal the finished product soon!

Design Spotlight

This week’s spotlight is all about bringing comfort and texture into a contemporary cottage-core kitchen. We’ve chosen terrazzo inspired countertops for a fresh yet nostalgic vibe (yes, terrazzo is making a comeback!) and paired them with gorgeous reeded white oak cabinetry to add a tactile, natural element. These handmade floor tiles and backsplash tiles lend an artisanal touch that balances the clean lines with warmth and coziness. Thoughtful details like the elegant copper bridge faucet, modern suede barstools, and playful green sconces surrounding the windows add layers of character and charm. This kitchen is a blend of comfort and craftsmanship—ideal for savoring a quiet morning coffee or gathering around for a heartfelt dinner with friends.

With this design, it’s easy to feel right at home!
